Senior User Researcher
Natural Cycles° is a leading women’s health company that developed the world’s first birth control app, used by millions globally. We are a fast growing startup, and we promote an international working environment filled with smart and ambitious colleagues based in Stockholm, Geneva, New York, and remotely. Our mission is to pioneer women’s health through research and passion, empowering every woman with the knowledge she needs to take charge of her health.
We are seeking a user researcher to join our User Research team and partner directly with our Product Growth team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading research that helps us understand our users' journeys, from their initial discovery of our product to long-term engagement. Your work will directly influence our strategies for user acquisition, onboarding, and retention, helping us create a more seamless and valuable experience for new and existing users.
Please note that we are hiring for this role in Sweden.
What you will be doing
Lead the research: Plan and execute a variety of research studies focused on the user growth lifecycle. This includes understanding the motivations of potential users, identifying barriers in the onboarding process, and uncovering reasons for user churn.
Conduct impactful research: Use a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as usability testing, A/B testing, surveys, competitor analysis, and user interviews, to gather insights that inform product decisions.
Partner with the team: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and data analysts to embed user research into the product development process. Help the team develop and test hypotheses for new growth initiatives.
Communicate findings: Synthesize and present research findings in a clear, compelling way to stakeholders across the organization. You'll be the voice of the user, helping the team understand what they need to improve their experience.
Build a research plan: Develop a long-term research roadmap for the Product Growth team, ensuring our research efforts are strategically aligned with business goals.
What skills and experience we think you have
Experience in user research: Proven experience conducting user research, ideally with a focus on product growth, user acquisition, or conversion.
Proficiency in research methods: Strong command of research methodologies, including qualitative interviews, usability testing, and survey design. Experience in quantitative methods is a plus.
Collaboration skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Business- & data-driven mindset: A key player in connecting user insights to business outcomes. Someone who can translate user stories into actionable recommendations by linking qualitative data to quantitative product metrics.
Strategic thinking: A desire to not just answer questions, but to uncover the most important questions the team should be asking to drive business impact.
Additional languages: Fluency in additional languages — particularly German or Portuguese — is a plus.
