Where are you from?
I’m from Stockholm.
What did you do before joining Natural Cycles?
I have two law degrees, one from England (L.L.B.) and one from Sweden (L.L.M.). After graduating, I worked at a law firm for a few years focusing on mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property law. I also did a secondment (temporarily working for a client) as an in-house counsel at a global retailer.
Tell us about your work at Natural Cycles.
Working as an in-house legal counsel at Natural Cycles is very diverse. Since we process a lot of personal data, data protection is an important part of my role. However, I help out with all kinds of legal questions that arise, for example relating to marketing, intellectual property, and commercial contracts. I really enjoy working so closely with the other teams!
Why Natural Cycles?
I feel that Natural Cycles is an exciting and important product, and the people working with it are really great. I love the fact that the underlying purpose of advancing women’s health is present in everything we do.
What has been your favorite project so far at Natural Cycles?
Getting FDA clearance was a big milestone that has opened up a lot of business opportunities for us in the US that are interesting to explore.
What’s the one thing you’ve learned during your time at Natural Cycles?
Learning about myself? I was actually quite surprised to realise that I knew so little about my own body before starting at Natural Cycles. The app and my colleagues have taught me loads.
Favorite lunch discussion?
Catching up on the latest news from [insert name of any reality show].
What’s your go-to place to eat in Stockholm?
Sensum in Vasastan. Relaxed and nice with great food.
What do you do outside of work?
Sports wise I enjoy skiing during the winter and sailing in the summer. I’m also a fan of horror games/films - current favorites are Far Cry 5 (more of a shooting game though) and the Conjuring. You’re welcome.
